Bandit Technology – No more
Well I tried out a new company that I came across whilst searching for something personally for myself, in the hope that I might also be able to utilise a local company for IT Supplies for work as well. It mostly went fairly well to start with apart from a blatant lie on their behalf. I specifically asked if they had stock of the item I was after – the response was plenty, shouldn’t be a problem. I thought great I could order and arrange for our work courier to collect, using our work courier is a lot cheaper because we have a contract with them and it is same day service. No Bandit didn’t work that way, could only use their delivery options – I thought that was odd, but I lived with it. I found out later the reason you can only use their delivery method was because they are a drop ship company and they didn’t actually have stock of the product I wanted, I don’t appreciate being lied to so I decided that I probably wouldn’t deal with them in the future.
So I thought that would be the last I would hear of Bandit, unfortunately it wasn’t. The unit died and of course I wanted to replace it under warranty, so I sent them an email, they ask me for details and I provided them, I was informed that it takes 5 working days for the paper work to be completed by their supplier before I send it back. I thought ok, if that is the procedure fine – well that was 6/3/08, today is working day 12 and I have heard nothing back from them. From now I will have no dealings with Bandit Technology, too bad really I recently spent $20,000 on new computing equipment for work and Bandit didn’t get a look in. Andy its time you sorted yourself out, not sure if you run the business as a side venture to your Curia Mudbricks business but it appears you have dropped the ball on this issue – good luck in the future.
Oh and the OEM are much easier to deal with direct for warranties, you just have to go to their website enter the serial number provide your details and they give you all the RMA details that you need. I had it done and onto the courier to Sydney in about 30mins.
